The best remedy
When you have watery eyes and a running nose, you sneeze a lot and you use up boxes of tissues, what’s the matter with you? Of course, you have a common cold. It makes you feel really uncomfortable. What is the best remedy?
Some people go straight to the drugstore, and they buy lots of medicine. For example, they buy aspirin, vitamin C, nose drops, and cough syrup. They go home with a bag full lof solutions for their cold. In facts, they already feel much better when they walk out of the drugstore.
Other people prefer traditional home remedies like chicken soup, lemon tea, or a mixture of hot milk and honey. Ginger tea is very popular in Asia.
Naturalists say they never catch colds because they are in constant contact with nature. In winter, when the weather is freezing, some of them go swimming in ice - cold water. When you ask them for advice, they usually suggest a really drastictic remedy. They say, “Jump into a pool of cold water.” They say that the shock clears the head. A friend of mine who is a doctor always says. “A cold last for a week with treatment, or seven day without it.”

I agree with you. Cold is very common and it's good to know about way to do.You can take steps to guard against cold- to prevent them:
--Try to avoid cold such as stress or go to the sun.
--Keep your system strong by a healthy diet and enough sleep.
--Avoid contact with people, especially children.
--Avoid sharing food, cups/ utensils and towels.
--Keep your hands clean - wash them frequently to avoid passing on the virus or infecting other areas of your body.
--Try to eat hot things, like soup, or hot chocolate.
Goodluck...

Normally I go to the Pharmacy as soon as I start to feel sick. Working at a school, however, it can be hard to get rid of a cold. I have had a sore throat and a cough for a month now! My friend is farang and he says that Thai people are weird because they don't drink cold drinks when they have a cold. He said that foreigners often eat icecream to numb the throat!!! What do you think??
